Drago
bolted rear dump bins can be
fully dismantled and consist of five
parts:
- one bottom;
- two side walls;
- one front end;
- one rear end
The
assembly of the components through
a quick anchorage system with
screws and stay bolts eliminates
the main steps in the welding process and gives
better hold and flexibility overall,
putting less strain on the joints.
The rear end
can be opened and is fitted with special
fixing hooks activated by a mechanical
open/close device synchronized with the body
lifting movement.
As soon as the
body starts tilting the hooks are fully
released, allowing the end
to be opened freely and the unloading
procedure to be carried out gradually with a
less intense pushing force.
Consequently,
during the unloading phase the vehicle is more
stable and suffers less stress from blows to
the body.
The special
bolted assembly system makes
it possible to create a light and extremely
versatile bimetallic version, with
the opportunity to handily combine two different
materials depending on the work requirements
of the vehicle; using hard wearing steel
for the bottom, which is more resistant
to the wear and tear of the loading process,
and a light alloy for the side walls,
which helps reduce the tare weight considerably.
There are
further important positive aspects for repairs
and maintenance: in the event of an accident
or breakage of a part, it is much easier
and quicker to replace a bolted part than a
welded part, significantly reducing
the time taken and the cost.
